BOOK STYLE ART History
In the depths of Peru, in the heights of the Andes, lies the village of Macas, in the district of Jivia, province of Lauricocha, department of Huánuco. It is a place where the elderly have the custom of recounting their legends and stories of their ancestors, passing them down from generation to generation so that they are not lost and their history can remain alive. To this day, families of Inca lineage and other cultures live here, having chosen to reside near the great mountains where majestic condors soar and beautiful natural views can be enjoyed.
IIt was in this place where the first book "The Inca, the Lion, and the Raven" was written by author Nini Accilio. Her grandfather, who lived in Macas, told her the story, while her mother recounted "Alqo, the Origin of the Peruvian Dog". Seeing so much enthusiasm for these stories, Nini Accilio traveled throughout Peru in search of various legends to preserve them in books and prevent them from being lost over time. These stories, originating from distant times, are captured in books that blend the history and legends of Peru's great cultures with art and style.
We are an independent publishing house called "Arte y Estilo Book", founded by a group passionate about Peruvian culture and the country's linguistic diversity. We set ourselves a unique challenge: to create bilingual books that celebrate Peru's cultural richness, art, and style. The creative team of "Arte y Estilo Book" immersed themselves in Peru's history, traditions, and legends to bring their works to life. Each page is carefully designed as a work of art, where words in Spanish and another language intertwine harmoniously, creating a unique and enriching reading experience for all readers.
From the snowy peaks of the Andes to the tropical jungles of the Amazon, "Arte y Estilo Book" explores every corner of the country, capturing the essence, magic, elegance, and quality that characterize each work. Each illustration is unique and invites imagination and a fantastic reading experience, where one can cry, laugh, sing, or be transported to the past or future. Thus, our stories are captured in our books and endure over time.
Our books are made by Peruvian hands that love their origin, history, and culture; they are 100% Peruvian, crafted with dedication, care, and quality. Our books are sent to the United States and other countries. Each book published in Spanish and English by "Arte y Estilo Book" not only promotes bilingual literature but also becomes a bridge between cultures, connecting readers from different corners of the world with the fascinating history and traditions of Peru.
